“All my Tears”

Posted on November 1, 2020.

Sorry I was not able to get the Oct newsletter out last month, my pc went, then it was a week before I could get a new one, then we had a vacation planned to our cabin in Maine and another week to recover the info on my old hard drive.  I already had the October hymn, “I Don't Know About Tomorrow” but the other night I was listening to bluegrass gospel and came across “The Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra” from Oslo, Norway and performing in Oslo they sang a song “All my Tears” which I heard for the first time.  Julie Miller wrote this song after her and  her husband Buddy’s friend Mark Heard died unexpectedly in 1992.  So I thought I'd include this song also this month.  As I listened and  read the lyrics, the theme of this song, since my youth, has always given me a sense of peacefulness in times of  loss of loved ones, knowing where they are and what lies ahead.   He has gone to prepare a place for us, and if we will let Him, He will prepare us for that place, and then come and lead us home.                     Bob W.

When I go don’t cry for me
In my Father’s arms I’ll be
The wounds this world left on my soul
Will all be healed and I’ll be whole

Sun and moon will be replaced
With the light of Jesus’ face
And I will not be ashamed
For my savior knows my name

Chorus
It don’t matter where you bury me
I’ll be home and I’ll be free
It don’t matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away

V2
Gold and silver blind the eye
Temporary riches lie
Come and eat from heaven’s store
Come and drink and thirst no more

So weep not for me my friend
When my time below does end
For my life belongs to him
Who will raise the dead again

Chorus
It don’t matter where you bury me
I’ll be home and I’ll be free
It don’t matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away                                                                                                          And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.                                                       John 14:3                     Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.                                                          Colossians 3: 2-4        We …...will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.                   1 Thessalonians 4:17
