Greetings to Holland Bible Church Friends!

As we begin December, at Front Step in Philadelphia we have more ways to share the love and message of Jesus Christ. Our regular ministry with children and youth at this time of year mainly involves our Bible Quizzing program, after-school program and girls' mentoring. But in December we reach out with Christ's love to meet specific needs of the whole community. The first week of December we will hold our sixth "Warm Winter Clothing Giveaway." Between Monday and Friday there will be 6 tons of good, lightly used clothing available free of charge for anyone who needs it. In past years, this one week ministry has blessed over 500 families--Praise God. The second week of December we will be making Christmas gifts and toys available for parents to select for their children. Over 400 items have been collected by two churches and passed along to bless inner-city children that we minister with. We praise God for the great love and kindness that make this ministry possible. Yes, our inner-city neighborhood has lots of problems, but God doesn't call Christians to avoid these, but to do what we can to share His love. I often think of what Jesus said, "when you do it for the very least of people, you do it for Me." What as joy that we can love God, love Christ and bless Him by attending to children and youth.
