Ernie and Jason Couch Rvival Concert Oct 21

Posted on October 21, 2018.

The concert on Sunday  afternoon on Oct. 21st with Nashville based father and son Ernie and Jason Couch had an attendance of 42 to45 people. Everyone seemed to have a great time and of course there was plenty of food.                                                                                                                                                    Their performance was great as usual with an exciting mixture of 20th Century gospel classics and originals along with their  good humor, and genuine spirit. They are two dedicated Christians who have been traveling the road from Maine to The Dakotas to Washington State to California to Florida and every where in between for almost three decades spreading the word of  our loving and forgiving savior Jesus Christ.                                                                                                                                                                       As Ernie and Jason have on their wed site “A Christian is more than a mere title, and Christianity is more than just another religion. Christianity is a lifestyle, a new way of walking, talking, thinking and relating to God and those around us. Adopting this new lifestyle changes one's perspective and creates new purpose and meaning for life.”...............“Unfortunately there are far too many individuals around the world who have their names on church membership rolls, who are religious, but have never had a saving, one-on-one experience with Jesus......... Will good works, just trying to be an all-around good moral and ethical person make you a Christian?  No.................Jesus is the only means of salvation for a lost and dying world.”                                                                                                                  Ernie told me a story when at a church in VA. where they were  performing a few years ago. After the service an 80 year old woman came to them and said “I have been going to this church all my life and I have never really asked Jesus to come into my heart and I want to do it now”                                          As Ernie has said “It sounds narrow minded but that's just the way it is”  Jesus said  “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. If you go on their web site they have a great article “What is a Christian”                                                                                          We already have them booked for next year  Oct 20th 3:00  PM.  So if you know anyone who may be on the fence about our Lord this might be a good opportunity to have them gently  witnessed to.                                                                                                                                                     Bob W.
