Worship Every Sunday at 9.15 am
Unfortunately most of New Jersey was shut down for April and still remains partially closed for the month of May so everything is still put on hold. But Pastor Geoff has kept our doors open every Sunday for morning Worship (It's our constitutional right) with an attendance of nine to ten parishioners every Sunday. Easter we had about 20 people and Mothers day about 11. Issac has also been doing a great job playing the organ doing all four hymns. I know there are services on Tv or on your PC etc. but it's not the same as personal face to face fellowship. God did not make us that way, from the beginning, Genesis 2:18, "The LORD God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone.” We need that personal touch sometimes, a simple firm hand shake, or an occasional hug once in a while. My two year old great grandson Jaxon, comes up to me a few times a day and says “Pick me up”, I pick him up and he rest his head on my shoulder feeling secure and loved. Just the other day a long time customer of mine came in and told me her husband who was been suffering from an illness for years just gave up and shot himself. As she stood there 6' away from me “social distancing” I could not let her stand there in tears so I had to go give her a comforting hug. Sometimes as I walk through the local super market I often think of those who where afflicted with leprosy in the Bible, Leviticus 13:45 "Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face and cry out, 'Unclean! Unclean!' ''. I just pray that this will not become the new normal for most people. We hope to see the rest of our church family back soon. Bob W.
